Annotation and plan engagements
Two ways an institution can hire a11y.solutions besides a training session. Both end as text your staff keep. Neither is a conformance certificate, and neither is a checkout.
Annotation of a sample
You send a bounded set of materials: pages, documents, slides, or course files. We return written notes on that sample. Each note names the barrier, who it blocks, and a change the author can make.
The boundary is the point. A handful of representative files teaches the people who produce the next hundred. It is not an audit of an entire website, and it is not a letter that says the institution conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Notes are text. They can live in the file, or in a short report the authors can search. They are not a picture of comments.
A plan the institution keeps
We meet the people who own publishing, procurement, and accessibility policy, and we draft a plan those people can edit. The draft covers:
- Which roles do which publishing tasks, using the same distinctions as the role matrix
- Which formats the institution actually publishes
- What staff will practice before the date that applies to them, April 26, 2027 or April 26, 2028, when the web rule is why you called
- What the institution will ask a vendor before it buys a tool or a content service
The plan is yours. a11y.solutions does not sign it as a legal opinion, as an undue-burden determination, or as proof of compliance. Counsel and your ADA coordinator remain the authorities on those decisions.
How an engagement proceeds
Four steps. Payment is not one of them. This website does not take an order.

Inquire
Email tim@a11y.solutions or use the contact form. Say whether you are public education, a state or local government entity, or both. Say whether you want training, annotation, a plan, or a combination. A public school district can be both an education client and a Title II entity.
-
Agree on a boundary
Which team, which sample of materials, and which date you are working toward if a date is the reason for the call. The two Title II dates are April 26, 2027 and April 26, 2028. ESEA Title I status does not select between them.
-
Do the work
Facilitated sessions, written annotations, a draft plan, or a combination. You receive text you can edit and file with your own records.
-
Keep the practice
Your staff leave with notes they can reuse. Another round is another inquiry to the same address. Nothing on this site charges a card or opens a cart.
Not legal advice
Annotation and a plan teach and organize. They do not decide whether an exception in 28 CFR 35.201 applies to a particular file, and they are not a substitute for counsel.
Start with the boundary, not a catalog
A paragraph that names the team and the sample is enough to reply.
