About a11y.solutions
Institutional accessibility training for public education and for state and local government.
a11y.solutions works with the institution, not with a shopper at a cart. Public schools, districts, public colleges, and state and local government offices hire training for the staff who publish, a written annotation of a sample, or a draft plan those staff keep.
Education work includes schools and organizations supported by Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Government work is Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Those are different from Title I of the ADA, which is employment. Disability awareness is in the catalog for staff, faculty, clerks, and supervisors. It is not that employment statute, and it is not legal advice.
How the work is scoped
- Staff who publish, and staff who are not specialists. Teachers, faculty, communicators, web staff, program staff, clerks, supervisors, and the people who buy tools can take publishing practice or disability awareness. Hiring, firing, and reasonable-accommodation decisions stay with the employer and its counsel.
- Practice on real materials. Documents, slides, pages, forms, and media the team already produces. The training page lists the formats and the teaching modules: focus indicators, PDF and web repair, and alt text a person approves.
- Titles kept distinct. ESEA Title I, ADA Title II, and ADA Title I are named separately, including the two web-rule dates, April 26, 2027 and April 26, 2028.
- Honest limits. Training, annotation, and a plan are not legal advice, not an audit of a whole site, and not a certification that an institution complies.
